What are the summer salaries and benefits?

Summer Associate salaries vary by office and are competitive for each market. Please refer to the appropriate NALP form for specific office information.

Do Summer Associates rotate through departments?

The Firm does not have a formal rotation program. Summer Associates will have the opportunity to rank their interest in different departments and practice areas and they will receive assignments based on their interests and the availability of work in their specific office.

What is the work assignment process?

Each office has an assignment coordinator who oversees Summer Associate workflow. Attorneys in each office submit assignments through an online portal and the assignment coordinator will allocate each assignment based on availability and interest.

Are Summer Associates assigned a mentor?

Each Summer Associate is assigned a partner mentor and one or two associate mentors (depending on your class size). Mentors will check in with Summer Associates on a weekly basis, providing guidance and support throughout the Summer Program.

What opportunities do Summer Associates have to network with Proskauer attorneys?

In addition to working directly with partners and associates through our formal work allocation process, we also offer a variety of opportunities for you to meet and get to know Proskauer lawyers. Summer Associates are invited to join department meetings, affinity group activities, and community service projects. Attorneys are encouraged to take Summer Associates out for lunch or coffee as part of a formal lunch program. Additionally, the Summer Program includes weekly social events such as sporting events, cocktail receptions, paint nights, and cooking classes.
