𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 I love having holidays! I also love getting away with friends for walking, laughing, great food and wine. We look for a great location near local walks and, as one friend is retired, we are always on the lookout for good value accommodation. We found the very place on Airbnb, described as a tiny home. We could see it was a caravan, but we’ve stayed in some lovely caravans on our trips so we’re not snobby about this. We’ve stayed in youth hostels before if the location is good. And there are some great youth hostels out there – I’m thinking of Port Charlotte, Islay. But the description of this caravan overpromised and underdelivered. It was just plain wrong! It stated it had 2 bathrooms, there was one. The listing said there was a well-stocked kitchen, there wasn’t - no tea towel or sponge for washing up. And as for the pots, the handles were broken and they were dirty? We may have forgiven all that, but their customer service was rubbish too. They cancelled the first day of our holiday just a week and a half before we were going with the excuse that they had maintenance but with no explanation whatsoever as to why (we asked twice!). We had pre-booked 6 months ahead! On the day of arrival we had to call them as we had no details of how to get into the caravan. They told us we had failed to fill out a form, which they eventually admitted they had failed to send to us. Read more in the attached...
