Jervis and Partners Chartered Accountants are recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our growing firm of chartered accountants, based in our Northampton office, serving as the eyes and ears of the office. nnThis is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, aspirational individual to work in our fast-growing firm. nnKey Duties & Responsibilities:nFor the role of Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will be technically competent and a confident communicator, with extensive payroll experience within practice. The successful candidate will have sound working knowledge of accountancy software, including Sage, as well as strong attention to detail.n n Responsibilities: n• Manage multiple payrolls for a diverse client portfolio.n• Support the team with processes relevant to payroll, including starters and leavers.n• Completion of monthly CIS returnsn• Monthly stakeholder pension submissions via multiple providersn• Ensure accurate information is obtained from clients to validate payroll data.n• Assist with maintaining pension records, including processing payroll payments and statutory reductions.n• Complete year-end processes and submissions.n• Managing queries related to tax, benefits, salary, and allowances.n• Act as a mentor to junior members of the team.nnThe Person:n• Demonstrable experience of leading Payroll for a varied client portfolio.n• Strong attention to detail.n• A can-do attitude to problem solving.n• Self-motivated with managing your own workload.n• Good communication skills.n• A team player, able to mentor other team members.n• Motivated with high standards.n• Proactive approach to professional development.nnAbout Us:nThe practice has a substantial and growing client base of sole traders, partnerships, Ltd companies and charities & trusts. nThe practice has three offices and three Partners with over 20 staff. nOur core internal values:nTo give every member of Jervis and Partners Accountants the opportunity to develop and progress by offering support at every step of their journey. nnWe take work-life balance seriously!
